variety of services are provided through the Community Education
program. These programs are designed so that older adults will have
an increased level of knowledge about housing and support services
provided in their communities. The programs are also designed to
provide members of the public with increased knowledge about the
needs of older adults and the resources available to them. For more

Workshops
and Presentations - Community education on a variety of
topics of interest to seniors including housing options.
Directory
of Services for Seniors - A searchable database of the
New Westminster Directory of Services for Seniors 55+. The print version
was distributed in New Westminster starting Thursday October 30 2008.
The searchable web version and its portal will open some time in the
future.
Building
Manager Resources - These
workshops for the staff and providers of seniors housing are designed
to equip them with the knowledge and tools nescessary to ensure that
their buildings are seniors friendly.
Housing Counsellor
Training - Training
is offered to volunteers and staff who work with older adults and want
to learn more about housing and resources available in their communities.
Research
Library - In addition to providing information on housing
and related services for older adults our agency has a collection of
research materials related to aging.
