Welcome to Seniors Services Society

Seniors Services Society is a non profit agency located in New Westminster, part of Metro Vancouver BC, that provides local and provincial programs and services that support older adults to live as independently as possible.

Key Service Areas:

Support Services                      

Including Meals on Wheels, Dining Club, Lunch Program, Grocery Shopping, Non Medical Home Support, Telephone Support Calls, Seniors Link Up, Seniors Transport, Information and Referral and Form Completion Assistance and Annual Income Tax Clinic for New Westminster residents. Housing Services

Housing information includes access to our province wide housing database Seniors Housing Directory of BC, assistance to those who are homeless or at risk of homeless across the lower mainland.

Community Education Services

Community education, on housing and services for seniors through workshops and presentations; Building Manager Support workshops, housing counselor training; research and other resources related to housing and services across the lower mainland.

Volunteer Opportunities

All Seniors Services Society services are supported by a dedicated team of volunteers. Volunteer opportunities include grocery shoppers; meals on wheels drivers; dining club hostesses, income tax preparers and office volunteers.

News Highlights

February 5
Ombudsperson Kim Carter released the reports on her ongoing systemic investigation into the care of seniors in British Columbia. The report contains ten recommendations on rights for seniors in residential care, access to information about residential care and the role of resident and family councils. To view download here.
